Basketball Recap: East Central Takes a Loss

East Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 46-19 loss at the hands of the Shawnee Wolves. The match marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

East Central's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Shawnee, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.

East Central will challenge Kiefer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kiefer will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something East Central surely won't give up without a fight. As for Shawnee, they will head out on the road to face off against Collinsville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Collinsville is on a four-game streak of home wins, Shawnee a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
