Football Game Preview: Caddo Mills Foxes vs. Canton Eagles

Caddo Mills has gone a perfect 4-0 against Canton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Foxes will challenge the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Caddo Mills knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Canton likes a good challenge.

On Friday, Caddo Mills earned a 35-28 win over Van Alstyne.

Caddo Mills can attribute much of their success to Kollin Heath, who picked up 61 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns, and Wyatt Watson, who rushed for 102 yards. Watson's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 102 rushing yards.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Caddo Mills' defense and their three sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Cj Moll. He also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 17. Caddo Mills got some further help from Corbin Kemp: he forced one fumble, made 16 total tackles, and defended one pass.

Meanwhile, Canton suffered their biggest loss since November 15, 2024 on Friday. They took a blow against Sunnyvale, falling 56-24. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Eagles' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Caddo Mills' record now sits at 7-3. As for Canton, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 9-1.

Caddo Mills skirted past Canton 37-34 when the teams last played back in September of 2023. Do the Foxes have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
