Baseball Recap: Waukon Comes Up Short

Waukon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Kee Kee Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Kee Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-1 two weeks ago.

Waukon's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Kee, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

Waukon didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Decorah-North Winneshiek on the 19th. As for Kee, they have also already played their next contest, a 19-9 win against Clayton-Ridge on the 19th.
