Football Game Preview: Elsinore Tigers vs. Patriot Warriors + How To Watch

The Elsinore Tigers will face off against the Patriot Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Two weeks ago, Elsinore lost to Tahquitz on the road by a 44-28 margin. The Tigers were down 34-14 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Elsinore might have lost, but man, Lataevious Hernandez was a machine: he rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Patriot entered their tilt with Jurupa Valley on Thursday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They blew past the Jaguars 45-7. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won four contests by 23 points or more so far this season.

Elsinore better focus on containing Dax Fulmer and K'YRan Spenser as the pair were huge in Patriot's win. Fulmer rushed for 49 yards and a pair of scores, while Spenser rushed for 107 yards and one TD on only 11 carries. The dominant performance also gave Fulmer a new career-high in passing yards (69).

Patriot was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 264 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 152 rushing yards in 18 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Elsinore's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Patriot, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.

Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Elsinore has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 264.7 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Patriot struggles in that department as they've been averaging 303 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
