Softball Recap: Hilmar Yellowjackets vs. Atwater Falcons
Hilmar managed to slip by Atwater the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Hilmar Yellowjackets lost 13-6 to the Atwater Falcons on Wednesday. The Yellowjackets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Camryn Mattos was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. What's more, she posted three hits, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Karley Segura also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Even though they lost, Hilmar kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits every time they've taken the field this season.

As for Atwater, they will head out on the road to challenge Livingston at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Atwater's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
