Soccer Recap: Webster Groves Comes Up Short

Webster Groves was the 2-1 winner over Lafayette when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Statesmen fell just short of the Lancers by a score of 1-0 on Monday. That's two games in a row now that Webster Groves have lost by just one goal.

This is the second loss in a row for Webster Groves and nudges their season record down to 4-10. As for Lafayette, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Webster Groves will square off against Capital City at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lafayette, they will head out to face off against Ladue Horton Watkins at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
