Baseball Recap: George Walton Academy Falls to First Presbyterian Day in First Game of Season

George Walton Academy had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the First Presbyterian Day Vikings on Tuesday. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 4-1 to them when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Braden Callaway was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. George Walton Academy will venture away from home to challenge Tattnall Square Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for First Presbyterian Day, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they will square off against Covenant Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
