Recap: Grenada Chargers vs. Greenville Christian Saints
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Olive Branch, the Grenada Chargers were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged Greenville Christian out 58-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Grenada's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jarques Perry, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 17 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Perry has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Howard, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Grenada's victory bumped their record up to 3-9. As for Greenville Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
Grenada and Yazoo County will round out the year against one another at 3:00 p.m. on December 28th at. Greenville Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Delta Streets Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
