Baseball Recap: Greenbrier Takes a Loss

Greenbrier had taken Vilonia down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Greenbrier Panthers took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vilonia Eagles. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Greenbrier and nudges their season record down to 2-4-1. As for Vilonia, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Greenbrier will head out on the road to take on Morrilton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Vilonia, they will face off against Batesville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Batesville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.5 runs per game this season.
