Alvarado strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past the Kennedale Wildcats, posting a 63-3 win. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 49-3.

Alvarado's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Demarcus Belton, who picked up 96 receiving yards and four TDs, and also rushed for 139 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 14 carries. Belton's longest rush was for an impressive 52 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. KJ Jenkins was another key signal caller, throwing for 287 yards and six TDs while completing 76.5% of his passes.

Alvarado's run defense was locked in: Kennedale could only muster 1.8 yards per carry. The team can thank Schyler Dethorne for the heroic effort on defense: he. Alvarado hasn't allowed more than 6.3 yards per carry in five consecutive matchups.

Alvarado didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Devin Johnson and Layne Woolard. Alvarado received some extra help from Zyon Brown, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Alvarado's victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Kennedale, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-4.

Alvarado and Kennedale should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Indians will face off against Carter-Riverside at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (33 vs. 1017). The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 927 yards in their previous games. Meanwhile, Kennedale (ranked 262nd) will meet Eastern Hills (ranked 727th) at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
