Basketball Recap: Aspire Langston Hughes Academy Takes a Loss

Aspire Langston Hughes Academy saw some tournament action on Friday. They took a 69-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the El Camino Eagles. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Aspire Langston Hughes Academy lost, don't look at ISAIAH BARRY. Despite the final result, he posted 18 points. Another player making a difference was ANDREW GARCIA, who earned 12 points.

El Camino was led to victory by Jean-Claude (JC) Tshiunza and Eli Oakden. Tshiunza shot 60% from the field on his way to 17 points along with eight rebounds and six steals, while Oakden dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance also gave Oakden a new career-high in field goal percentage (71%). Nathan Jackson was another key player, putting up six points.

Aspire Langston Hughes Academy now has a losing record of 2-3. As for El Camino, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
