Softball Recap: Pilgrim Comes Up Short

Pilgrim lost to Cranston West back in June of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Patriots fell 10-6 to the Falcons. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Carli Harker made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That double was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Skylar Hawes, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Pilgrim's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Cranston West, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3.

Coming up, Pilgrim will host Chariho at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Chargers have yet to allow a single run through six matchups this season, a streak the Patriots will look to end. As for Cranston West, they will head out to square off against Norwich Free Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
