Basketball Recap: Beecher Buccaneers vs. Hamady Hawks
After flying high against Genesee last Tuesday, Beecher came back down to earth. The Beecher Buccaneers had to suffer through a 86-45 loss at the hands of the Hamady Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Buccaneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 454th, while the Hawks are ranked 142nd).
Hamady's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Antonio Moore led the charge by going 6 of 9 on his way to 14 points and four steals. Jordan McClain was another key player, going 9 for 10 en route to 18 points.
