Volleyball Recap: Cedar Creek Comes Up Short

Cedar Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Bastrop Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-17, 25-17.

Cedar Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 7-21. As for Bastrop, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-11 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Cedar Creek will challenge rival Anderson at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Bastrop is set to face off against their familiar foe Navarro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
