Football Recap: Penn-Trafford Falls Short of Moon Area in the Playoffs + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Penn-Trafford can now relate to. They took a 20-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Moon Area Tigers on Friday. The contest marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Penn-Trafford's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ben Grabowski, who rushed for 81 yards. Grabowski also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making five total tackles.

Moon Area was led to victory by Andrew Cross and Savario Vandetti. Cross threw for 121 yards and two TDs while completing 72.7% of his passes, while Vandetti picked up 27 receiving yards and one touchdown. What's more, Cross racked up 148.1 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Jared Moyer also deserves some recognition as he posted his first receiving yards of the season.

Penn-Trafford's loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-2. As for Moon Area, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.
