Soccer Recap: Croatan Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Croatan was the 5-1 winner over Havelock when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Cougars fell just short of the Rams by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. Both teams had to tread carefully at times as the refs weren't afraid to hand out yellow cards: Tyler Thorpe was handed one for Croatan, while Havelock got theirs courtesy of Aiden O'nan.

Croatan's goal came courtesy of Hugh Burton, which was the first he's scored this season.

Croatan has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13-2 record this season. As for Havelock, the win snapped their losing streak at four matches and leaves them with a 6-14 record.

Looking ahead, Croatan will face off against Dixon at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Dixon's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Havelock, they will challenge Northside - Jacksonville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
