Basketball Game Preview: Chino Hills Huskies vs. Santiago Sharks

The Chino Hills Huskies and the Santiago Sharks will round out the year against one another at at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Chino Hills knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 16 matchups -- so hopefully Santiago likes a good challenge.

Chino Hills saw some tournament action on Saturday. They walked away with a 70-63 win over Alta Loma. Given the Huskies' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 36th, while the Braves are ranked 281st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Santiago entered their tilt with Esperanza on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Everything went their way against the Aztecs as they made off with a 76-56 victory.

Chino Hills pushed their record up to 14-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Santiago, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Chino Hills strolled past Santiago in their previous meeting on December 9th by a score of 76-62. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chino Hills since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
