Volleyball Recap: Westfall's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Five

South Point typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Westfall proved too difficult a challenge. They put the hurt on the Pointers with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Mustangs, who have now won five contests in a row.

While Westfall won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-20, 28-26.

Westfall was led to victory by Joni Snyder and Adrina Hicks. Snyder had seven digs and three aces, while Hicks had six digs. The dominant performance also gave Snyder a new career-high in assists (three).

Westfall's win bumped their record up to 9-11. As for South Point, their defeat ended an eight-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-7.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Westfall and Alexander will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday. South Point does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
