Salem Hills put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Grantsville Cowboys a 10-0 shutout. That's two games straight that the Skyhawks have won by exactly ten runs.

Aliyah Elmer was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Emmery Wilson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Salem Hills was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .450. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.

Salem Hills' record now sits at 20-0. As for Grantsville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-6 record this season.

Salem Hills and Grantsville should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Utah Rankings. The Skyhawks will take on Timpview at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (2 vs. 78). Meanwhile, Grantsville (ranked 14th) will meet Ogden (ranked 82nd) at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
