Baseball Game Preview: Beverly Hills Normans vs. Ambassador Lions

The Beverly Hills Normans will square off against the Ambassador Lions at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Beverly Hills' pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Hawthorne as Beverly Hills made off with a 7-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Normans in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won four in a row.

Hawthorne's batters probably weren't too happy with Asher Miller, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 16 Ks (he gave up four walks). Furthermore, Miller didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Jake Carlson was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Park, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Ambassador was able to grind out a solid victory over Shalhevet on Monday, taking the game 4-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Beverly Hills' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7-1. As for Ambassador, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
