Pelican Rapids took a six-goal loss the last time they faced off against Bemidji, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Vikings' defense stepped up to hand the Lumberjacks a 1-0 shutout on Thursday. The result kept Pelican Rapids happy, as they haven't lost a game since August 26th.

Pelican Rapids has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-1-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those five matchups. As for Bemidji, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pelican Rapids will venture away from home to square off against Hillcrest Lutheran Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bemidji, they will head out to challenge Hermantown at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
