Baseball Recap: Neumann Regional Academy Has No Trouble Against Sugar Valley Rural

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against South Williamsport, Neumann Regional Academy was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They blew past the Sugar Valley Rural Phoenix 12-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Golden Knights also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Nolan Fagnano, who scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Andrew Walter was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.

The win got Neumann Regional Academy back to even at 1-1. As for Sugar Valley Rural, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Neumann Regional Academy will face off against rival Montgomery at 4:30 p.m. on April 4. Meanwhile, Sugar Valley Rural is set to challenge their familiar foe Bucktail at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
