Basketball Recap: Highland Park Comes Up Short

Highland Park lost against Allen back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Scots received a blow as they fell 84-65 to the Eagles. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (61), the Scots still had to take the loss.

Nehemiah Lawrence was a one-man wrecking crew For Allen. as he went 12-for-15 to rack up 29 points and five steals. The game was Lawrence's third in a row with at least 24 points. Another player making a difference was Giovanni Watt, who shot 56% from the field en route to 10 points.

Highland Park's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Allen, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Coming up, Highland Park will venture away from home to challenge Lake Highlands at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Allen, they will challenge Nazareth at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
