Volleyball Recap: Centennial Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Centennial, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Etiwanda Eagles 3-2.

Centennial took Etiwanda into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 25-20, 25-16, 23-25, 16-14.

When it comes to explaining why Etiwanda lost on Tuesday, don't look at Sebastian Rubio. Despite the final result, he had 15 digs and two assists. Rodrick Dela Cruz was another key player, getting 18 assists and 13 digs.

Centennial has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season. Etiwanda's loss dropped their record down to 1-2.

Centennial has already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Temecula Valley on the 26th. As for Etiwanda, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Chaffey on the 28th.
