Football Recap: Clarksburg Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Clarksburg lost against Damascus back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Coyotes took a 16-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hornets. While losing is never fun, the Coyotes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland football rankings (they are ranked 145th, while the Hornets are ranked 47th).

Nikhil Sayal threw for 145 yards and one TD. Dominick Malone was his top target, picking up 43 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Clarksburg now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Damascus, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, Clarksburg will welcome Richard Montgomery at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Damascus, they will head out to face off against Oakdale at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Hornets' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
