The East Columbus Gators can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent game on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Lakewood 52-22 on the road. The victory was nothing new for East Columbus as they're now sitting on seven straight.
Destiney Mitchell was a one-man wrecking crew for East Columbus as she scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Mitchell also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Chynna Patrick, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Several Leopards players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was LaShauta Joyner, who scored ten points.
East Columbus pushed their record up to 15-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Lakewood, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
East Columbus will head out on the road to challenge South Columbus at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
