Basketball Game Preview: Woods Charter Wolves vs. Chatham Charter Knights

Woods Charter hasn't had much luck against Chatham Charter recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Woods Charter Wolves will be playing in front of their home fans against the Chatham Charter Knights at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Woods Charter took a loss when they played away from home back in November, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 46-44 victory over Eno River Academy.

Woods Charter got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Levi Haygood out in front who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Bhuvanesh Senthil, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 11 points and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Chatham Charter earned a 59-49 victory over North Moore on Monday.

Chatham Charter is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.2 points per game. As for Woods Charter, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Woods Charter came up short against Chatham Charter when the teams last played back in February, falling 47-34. Thankfully for Woods Charter, Jonah Ridgill (who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 15 boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
