Softball Recap: Topeka Takes a Loss

Salina Central hit Topeka with a nine-run fourth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Trojans lost 15-1 to the Mustangs. The game marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Topeka and nudges their season record down to 8-2. As for Salina Central, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 21-3.

Topeka does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Salina Central, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Derby at 4:00 p.m.
