Basketball Recap: Trinity Prep Comes Up Short

Trinity Prep saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 54-35 bruising from the Augusta E Eagles.

Jude Brouwer went supernova For Augusta E., dropping a double-double with 22 points and ten boards. Brouwer has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 17 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Ethan Quarles, who shot 40% from the field en route to 14 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Trinity Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Augusta E, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Trinity Prep will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Monsignor Donovan Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on the 18th. As for Augusta E, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 79-43 victory against Faith Christian Academy on the 6th.
