The Classical Academy came tearing into Thursday's matchup with eight straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Colorado Academy Mustangs 3-0. The Titans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mustangs, too.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant The Classical Academy was: they took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-12, 25-13.

Ashlyn Delaney paced The Classical Academy's offense, picking up 19 kills. Delaney got some help from Avery Jaeger and her 36 assists. Miranda Campos controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Despite the loss, Colorado Academy still got an impressive performance from Alexa Lane, who had 11 digs and three assists. Lane is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 15 games she's played.

The Classical Academy's victory bumped their record up to 19-2. As for Colorado Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-8.

Coming up, The Classical Academy is taking a road trip to square off against Evergreen at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Colorado Academy, they will welcome Columbine at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
