Union City is 8-1 against Gleason since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. Union City fell victim to Gibbs and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 16-0. The Golden Tornadoes' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Gleason got their first taste of in-conference action on Thursday and they started things off strong. They walked away with a 7-4 win over Bradford. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

The team relied heavily on Brinley Lehmkuhl, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-5. Another player making a difference was Marley Crews, who scored a run while going 4-for-4.

Gleason always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .550. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Union City's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Gleason, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.

Union City couldn't quite finish off Gleason when the teams last played back in April of 2021 and fell 2-0. Can the Golden Tornadoes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
