Basketball Recap: Friday's Loss Ends University's Winning Streak

If University was feeling good fresh off their 66-40 takedown of Lorena last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The University Trojans fell 55-47 to the Ellison Eagles on Friday. The Trojans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

University moved to 18-6 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Ellison, they pushed their record up to 17-5 with the victory, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.

University will welcome Waco at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. University is facing Waco at the right time seeing as Waco is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Ellison, they will head out to challenge Belton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Belton will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Ellison surely won't give up without a fight.
