The New Designs Watts Knights will square off against the TEACH Tech Charter Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
As a matter of fact, New Designs Watts put up the most points they have all season on Friday. They really took it to Stella High Charter Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 64-0 victory. The Knights pushed the score to 46-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles had no chance of recovering from.

New Designs Watts' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jerimiah May led the charge by rushing for 118 yards and two TDs, while also throwing for 153 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 passes. That's the most passing yards May has posted since back in August. Jamier WHicks also helped with two scores in total.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: New Designs Watts was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 246 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 199 rushing yards in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, TEACH Tech Charter entered their tilt with Valley Oaks CES last Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They strolled past the Vanguards with points to spare, taking the game 54-36.
New Designs Watts better keep an eye on Kyler Drake. He was instrumental in TEACH Tech Charter's win, picking up 212 receiving yards and four TDs, while also rushing for 87 yards on only nine carries. Drake's longest reception was for an impressive 62 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per catch total. Trayvion Kendrick was another key player, rushing for 90 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only seven carries.
New Designs Watts' record is now 4-5. As for TEACH Tech Charter, their record now sits at 3-1.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. New Designs Watts has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 210.7 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like TEACH Tech Charter struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 304.8 rushing yards.
