DSST: Montview extended their winning streak to five on Thursday, bumping them up to 11-5. They walked away with a 68-55 victory over the DMLK Panthers. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 113th, while the Panthers are ranked 308th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

DSST: Montview got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Eliyab Berhane out in front who shot 64% from the field on his way to 26 points and three steals. Those 26 points gave Berhane a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Beniam Desta, who posted 15 points in addition to eight assists and five steals.

DSST: Montview was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They are 8-1 when they've passed the ball that well.

As for DMLK, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-15 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.4 points over those games.

DMLK's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Devin Sutton, who went 9-for-12 en route to 22 points and six rebounds. Nuvar Moore was another key player, shooting 50% from the field to rack up 11 points and eight boards.

DSST: Montview wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 104-16 victory against KIPP Denver Collegiate on the 6th. As for DMLK, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-24 win against Rocky Mountain Prep SMART on the 6th.
