Baseball Recap: Williamson's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Saturday just wasn't the day for Williamson's offense. They fell just short of the East Rochester Bombers by a score of 1-0 on Saturday. The Marauders were red-hot at the plate heading into the match (they scored no less than ten runs in the three contests prior), but the Bombers' pitcher proved too tough.

David DeFisher spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

Williamson's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-5. As for East Rochester, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-3.

Williamson didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-4 win against Gananda Central on the 19th. As for East Rochester, they have also already played their next match, a 17-1 victory against Marion on the 19th.
