Volleyball Recap: Madison Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Madison can now relate to. They came up short against the Dell Rapids Quarriers on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Quarriers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-12, 25-18.

Lydia Nelson paced Madison's offense, picking up ten kills. Nelson got some help from Karley Theede C and her 18 assists. Macie Rinehart controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Madison's defeat dropped their record down to 19-13. As for Dell Rapids, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 26-6.

Madison does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dell Rapids, they will face off against Todd County on Tuesday.
