The team relied heavily on Jose Carrero, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-1. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

Tampa Catholic hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sumner struck out 12 times.

Tampa Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Sumner, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.

Coming up, Tampa Catholic will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate at 6:00 p.m. As for Sumner, they will take on East Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sumner is facing East Bay at the right time seeing as East Bay is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
