Volleyball Recap: Gulliver Prep Raiders vs. Ransom Everglades Raiders

With a playoff game on the line, Gulliver Prep rose to the challenge on Saturday. They came out on top against the Ransom Everglades Raiders by a score of 3-1. The victory was nothing new for Gulliver Prep as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Gulliver Prep had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-19, 25-22, 25-17.

Gulliver Prep found their leader in sophomore Mia Lavalle, who had 33 digs and a kill. Lavalle is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in the last four games she's played.

Several Raiders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Julia Lewkowitz, who had 16 digs, 15 kills, and two aces. Another player making a difference was Addison Pollock, who had 29 digs.

Gulliver Prep is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for Ransom Everglades, their loss dropped their record down to 17-10.
