Baseball Recap: Clayton Comes Up Short

Clayton fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Paulsboro on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Red Raiders by a score of 7-6. The Clippers' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Jameson Emerle made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Trevor Rehm, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases.

Clayton's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Paulsboro, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Coming up, Clayton will square off against Schalick at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. As for Paulsboro, they will take on West Deptford at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
