It's playoff time, and Buena Vista had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the Meeker Cowboys on Saturday as they made off with a 40-14 victory. The Demons' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Eli Schuknecht produced another solid performance rushing for 161 yards and two scores on only 13 carries. His longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards.

Schuknecht was just one part of a punishing run game: Buena Vista was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 274 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 183 rushing yards in four consecutive matchups.

Buena Vista's victory bumped their record up to 11-0. As for Meeker, they moved to 8-3 with that loss, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.

Coming up, Buena Vista will venture away from home to face off against Centauri at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Demons 9.7, the Falcons 10.9) so any points scored will be well earned. Meeker does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
