Basketball Recap: Red Oak Takes a Loss

Red Oak was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Oktaha Tigers, falling 69-14. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Red Oak's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Oktaha, they pushed their record up to 1-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Red Oak will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Buffalo Valley at 7:30 p.m. on December 8. As for Oktaha, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Spiro at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
