Basketball Recap: West Catholic Takes a Loss

West Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 58-55 heartbreaker at the hands of the Archbishop Wood Vikings. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Burrs have suffered since December 20, 2024.

West Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Archbishop Wood, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-10.

West Catholic will take on Neumann-Goretti at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Neumann-Goretti knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully West Catholic likes a good challenge. As for Archbishop Wood, they will square off against La Salle College at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
