Recap: Calhoun County Saints vs. Hunter-Kinard-Tyler Trojans
The Calhoun County Saints won the last time they faced the Hunter-Kinard-Tyler Trojans, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Calhoun County walked away with a 50-42 victory over the Trojans. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Calhoun County.
Calhoun County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayden Wallace, who scored 17 points. Wallace continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of JaVonta Simon, who scored 11 points.
Calhoun County pushed their record up to 12-7 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.4 points per game. As for Hunter-Kinard-Tyler, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calhoun County will take on the Fighting Hawks at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hunter-Kinard-Tyler, they will head out on the road to square off against the War Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
