Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Lara Garcia and Olivia Pratt Lead Perkiomen School to Victory

Perkiomen School proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Shipley, sneaking past 3-2. The victory was nothing new for the Panthers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Perkiomen School wouldn't go down easily and took Shipley into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 24-26, 23-25, 25-22, 15-13.

Leading Perkiomen School to victory were Olivia Pratt and Lara Garcia. Pratt had nine digs and three aces, while Garcia had 11 assists and seven digs. That's the most digs Pratt has posted since back in September.

They weren't the only good servers: Perkiomen School was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 25 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 17 aces in three consecutive matchups.

Perkiomen School's win bumped their record up to 10-6-1. As for Shipley, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Perkiomen School will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Varsity Opponent at 5:30 p.m. on the 23rd. Shipley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
