Recap: Hillsborough Terriers vs. Leto Falcons
The Hillsborough Terriers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They took a 45-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Leto. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hillsborough in their matchups with Leto: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite the loss, Hillsborough still got an impressive performance from Destine Roman, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Roman has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Tristan Geery, who scored five points.
Leto's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Derek Delgardo, jr, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Delgardo, jr hasn't dropped below 15 points for 16 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Delgardo, III, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Hillsborough's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Leto, they pushed their record up to 16-6 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
Hillsborough will take on Leto at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Leto focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Wednesday.
