Football Game Preview: Hooker Bulldogs vs. Crescent Tigers + How To Watch

The Hooker Bulldogs will venture away from home to face off against the Crescent Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

On Friday, Hooker got the win against Watonga by a conclusive 34-14. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-0.

It was another big night for Justin Palacios, who rushed for 90 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight carries, and also threw for nine yards and one touchdown. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making three total tackles. Gannon Hill was in the mix as well, providing Hooker with two scores.

Meanwhile, after only 13 points in their last game, Crescent made sure to put some points up on the board against Merritt on Friday. The Tigers claimed a resounding 48-16 victory over the Oilers. Considering the Tigers' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Hooker has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Crescent, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Everything came up roses for Hooker against Crescent in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 40-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
