Soccer Recap: Cook Takes a Loss

Cook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 7-0 to the Worth County Rams. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hornets of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Cook's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Worth County, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.

Looking ahead, Cook is taking a road trip to challenge Pierce County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Cook has given up an average of 6.1 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. As for Worth County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sherwood Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Worth County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.4 goals per game this season.
