Baseball Game Preview: Amboy Clippers vs. Milledgeville Missiles

The Amboy Clippers will head out on the road to square off against the Milledgeville Missiles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Amboy is headed into the match having just suffered their closest loss since March 19, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of Eastland by a score of 2-0. The Clippers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Amboy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rylan McNinch, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Milledgeville and Polo have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Monday. The Missiles came up short against the Marcos, falling 9-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Missiles have suffered against the Marcos since May 8, 2018.

Milledgeville's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Amboy, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

Amboy suffered a grim 9-2 defeat to Milledgeville in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Clippers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
