Softball Recap: Riverside Comes Up Short

Riverside lost against Tri-Village back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Pirates came up short against the Patriots, falling 11-1. The Pirates' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Riverside saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keira Manahan, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Tri-Village, they pushed their record up to 10-0 with the win, which was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverside will welcome Troy Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.75 runs per game on average), something the Pirates will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Tri-Village, they will host Arcanum at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
