Football Game Preview: Scott's Branch Eagles vs. Bethune-Bowman Mohawks + How To Watch

The Scott's Branch Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Bethune-Bowman Mohawks at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Scott's Branch is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Cross just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against the Trojans, falling 38-14. The Eagles were down 30-6 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, Bethune-Bowman had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 58-0 win over the Islanders. The Mohawks' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Scott's Branch better keep an eye on Jaedon Bell. He was instrumental in Bethune-Bowman's win, throwing for 240 yards and four touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes, and also rushing for 33 yards. That's the most passing touchdowns Bell has posted since back in August.

Scott's Branch's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-2. As for Bethune-Bowman, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.

Everything came up roses for Scott's Branch against Bethune-Bowman in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 68-6 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
